Most legal operations roles put you inside one legal function. This one puts you across many. You will work with in-house legal teams on how their function actually runs: the operating model, the processes, the resourcing, and the technology and AI sitting underneath it.

The client is a global law firm with a substantial Australian practice, hiring into its legal operations advisory team.

The essentials

- Permanent, full time
- Hybrid, 3 days a week in the office

What you'll do

- Deliver legal operations projects end to end as part of multidisciplinary teams
- Analyse how a client's legal function works today and where the friction sits
- Help design and facilitate workshops that turn complex ideas into something a client can act on
- Apply legal engineering principles to translate legal and business requirements into working digital solutions
- Build client-facing material, from the underlying analysis through to the recommendations
- Support client relationships and contribute to proposals and pitches





What you'll need

Essential

- Legal operations or legal transformation experience, with hands-on delivery on client projects
- Exposure to legal operating model design, process improvement or resourcing strategy
- A working grasp of the legal technology and AI landscape
- Data analysis and visualisation
- Clear communication with both legal and business stakeholders

Nice to have

- Legal engineering experience, designing or implementing technology-enabled solutions
- Change management or design thinking training
- A consulting or skilled services background
