We are seeking a skilled and safety-focused Underground Loader Operator. As an integral part of the team, you will operate loaders to transport ore and materials underground, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Working on a 7/7 days & nights rotational roster, this position is available on a residential or DIDO, basis.
Responsibilities
Duties will entail the following, however not limited to:
- Operate underground loaders
- Management of the underground trucking fleet to ensure that they are fully utilised
- Ensuring truck loads are maximised
- Roadwork maintenance and housekeeping
- Load and haul ore and waste safely and efficiently
- Strict compliance with tele-remote procedures
- Ensuring tram and loading packages are maintained
- Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks
- Maintain compliance with site safety procedures and production targets
- Work collaboratively with underground crews and supervisors
- Identify hazards and contribute to a strong safety culture
Qualifications
About You To be successful, you will bring the following skills, experience and personal attributes:
- Previous underground mining experience driving a loader (essential).
- Tele-remote experience.
- Current driver’s licence and the ability to safely drive through tight tunnels.
- Efficient bucket control and loading skills.
- Driving to ground conditions and observing, reporting hazards.
- Good communication skills and team orientated.
- A strong commitment to safety and adherence to mining protocols.
- Organisational skills with the ability to set and meet daily targets.
