- Job Title: Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) - Home Energy Improvements
- Location: Cambridge, Ely, and Surrounding Areas
- Pay Rate: £17.32 per hour (PAYE) OR £23.00 per hour (Umbrella)
- Contract Type: Temporary (Immediate / September Start, with a strong view to a long-term position)
- Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (Standard Day Shift)
- Mandatory Requirements: Full UK Driving Licence & Personal Vehicle, Social Housing / RLO Experience
Are you an empathetic, customer-focused Resident Liaison Officer (RLO) or Tenant Liaison Officer (TLO) looking for a long-term chance across Cambridge and Ely?
We are urgently recruiting a compassionate and organised Resident Liaison Officer to join a high-profile home energy efficiency retrofit scheme starting this September. Working across live residential properties, you will be the primary face-to-face point of contact for tenants during major green energy upgrades, including External Wall Insulation (EWI), Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP), and PV Solar Panel installations.
This is a fantastic, long-term opportunity to join a supportive project team delivering essential works that improve residents' living conditions, energy efficiency, and home comfort.

Key Responsibilities
- Resident Communication: Act as the primary liaison for tenants, providing clear, timely, and consistent updates regarding project timelines, work schedules, and potential disruptions.
- Property Access & Coordination: Facilitate property access for tradespeople and sub-contractors, coordinating survey and installation appointments to ensure smooth operational delivery.
- Issue & Complaint Resolution: Address tenant queries, concerns, and complaints with empathy, patience, and professional problem-solving.
- Project Administration: Maintain accurate resident communication logs, update property access records, and assist with pre-work surveys and handover documentation.
Candidate Profile & Requirements
- Proven Experience: Demonstrable history as a Resident Liaison Officer (RLO), Tenant Liaison Officer (TLO), or similar customer-façing role within social housing, property maintenance, or construction.
- Retrofit Knowledge: Prior experience working on energy retrofit, EWI, or home improvement schemes is highly desirable.
- Communication & Empathy: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse residents and resolve difficult situations calmly.
- Mobility: Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and have access to a personal vehicle for daily travel across Cambridge, Ely, and the surrounding patch.
- Organisation: Strong administrative, record-keeping, and time-management capabilities.
