The Opportunity

n

HammondCare's Respite Cottages provide short-term accommodation and individualised support for older guests during stays of up to 10 nights. As a Specialised Carer, you'll play a vital role in delivering personalised care and creating a welcoming, home-like workplace.

n

About the role

n

Hourly Rates: $32.91 to $36.50 P/H + penalties

n

Please note: Rosters available may not suit student visa due to hour restrictions. Unlimited work rights will be highly regarded.

n

Shifts include *** Ideally you will be able to work a mix of the below shifts

n

n
- 7.15am-14.45 - Morning shift
n
- 14.45 - 21.45- Afternoon shift
n
- 21.30- 07.45- Night shift
n

n

Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide personal care including grooming and hygiene
n
- Deliver care in accordance with individual care plans
n
- Support and care for guests during overnight or extended stays
n
- Promote guest dignity and independence through daily activities
n
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate changes in care professionally
n
- You will occasionally assist Guests to access and participate in community activities and events by providing transport support. (Drivers license is essential)

What do you need to apply?

n

n




- No formal qualification is necessary; however, Certificate III Individual Support is an advantage
n
- Australian Drivers license
n
- Available to work a mix of the above mentioned shifts
n
- First Aid certificate desirable
n
- Empathy and compassion are a must
n
- We provide job training as long as you have the willingness and desire to learn
n
- Good administrative and computer skills, including the use of a smartphone
n
- A strong team player, who can communicate professionally changes in care, complete all documentation, whilst maintaining confidentiality.
