About The Physiotherapy Newcomb Primary Care Team
The Primary Care team incorporates multipdisciplinary health professionals from allied health and nursing backgrounds. This dynamic and high performing team provides services ranging from early intervention through to support of consumers with chronic and complex needs.
About The Role
As the physiotherapist you will provide a comprehensive, integrated, and high quality physiotherapy service applying evidence-based, informed, client-centred care within a multi-disciplinary community setting. You will also provide teaching, supervision, support and development to less experienced staff and undergraduate students. This position provides a great career opportunity to contribute to service innovation and delivery of high quality care to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently manage a clinical caseload and provide evidence-based, multidisciplinary assessment, treatment and review, ensuring high-quality, consumer-centred care.
- Demonstrate professional leadership, contribute to committees and service initiatives, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and support the development and supervision of junior staff and students.
- Contribute to clinical policies, service improvement, research, risk management, data reporting and innovation to enhance service quality and outcomes.
- Maintain professional standards, AHPRA registration,
credentialing and CPD requirements while demonstrating culturally safe practice, reflective learning and compliance with relevant legislation and professional standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Physiotherapy from an Australian Physiotherapy Council-accredited course, with current national registration and eligibility for full Australian Physiotherapy Association membership.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience relevant to the designated clinical area, with an understanding of undergraduate physiotherapy clinical education requirements.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, with strong consumer focus, time management and prioritisation skills.
- Commitment to ongoing career development, with a systematic approach to problem solving, initiative and proficiency in information technology.
