Now, an exciting prospect has arisen for a Maintenance Manager

About the Role The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all maintenance activities across the hotel property, including guest rooms, function spaces, bars, restaurants, and surrounding grounds. This role ensures that all plant equipment, venue external presentation and infrastructure are maintained in optimal condition.

The Maintenance Manager will lead a small team, coordinate with external contractors, and collaborate closely with all departments to deliver a high standard of maintenance, safety, and presentation. This position is also accountable for driving energy efficiency, ensuring compliance, and managing maintenance budgets and capital work.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision





· Supervise and coordinate contractors / the maintenance team (including yard staff) to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

· Conduct regular team meetings, including weekly OH&S; briefings, and maintain accurate records.

· Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to build capability and performance.

· Maintain effective communication between departments.

· Develop and maintain professional relationships with all heads of departments.

Maintenance Operations

· Conduct regular inspections of the entire property to identify and priorities maintenance needs.

· Manage daily repairs, preventative maintenance, and cleaning schedules.

· Action and close-out maintenance requests from all departments in a timely and professional manner.

· Ensure all fire safety systems are always fully operational and compliant.

· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance inspections.

Contractor & Compliance Management

· Liaise with external contractors and suppliers for specialist repairs and maintenance.

· Source and compare quotes for work and present recommendations to the General Manager for approval.

· Manage the contractor register including insurance, certifications, and safety documentation.

· Supervise contractors onsite to ensure safe work practices are always adhered to.

· Report on contractor performance monthly

· Maintain a high standard of personal grooming and presentation.

· Build positive and effective working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.

· Attend all required staff meetings and training sessions.

· To be available on call as required to assist with after-hours emergencies or business interruptions

· Assist in other duties or responsibilities as reasonably directed by the General Manager.
