Join Majestic Hotels & Apartments, South Australia’s largest boutique, locally owned and operated accommodation group, as full time Maintenance Officer/Handyperson at our Majestic Oasis Apartments in Port Augusta.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be responsible for keeping our property, facilities and equipment in great order and helping ensure our guests enjoy a safe, comfortable and memorable stay.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor and operationally to the Rooms Division Manager, you will have proven handyperson or general maintenance experience and be confident using a range of tools and equipment to undertake repairs, maintenance and general upkeep. You will be a practical hands-on person who can identify issues, find solutions and complete tasks to a high standard. You’ll be confident working independently, while also contributing to a supportive and dedicated team that values high standards, dependability and teamwork.

About the role

- Complete high-quality maintenance and repairs across apartments, facilities and public areas
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests to minimise disruption to guests




- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to protect property assets
- Perform minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry and painting works (within licence requirements)
- Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the property's swimming pool and surrounding areas
- Ensure all areas meet safety, quality and WHS standards

About you

- Proven maintenance or handyperson experience
- Previous pool management experience (desirable)
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are desirable, but not essential
- Valuable physical fitness and the ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role
- A current driver’s licence
- A current National Police Check or willingness to obtain one
