Maintenance Technician | Pre-Opening Luxury Hotel The EQ Hotel – Perth, WA The EQ Hotel is Perth’s new luxury hotel, opening in the heart of the CBD. We are seeking a capable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our pre-opening Engineering team.

This is an opportunity to help bring a new hotel to life—from commissioning and defect rectification through to maintaining the building, guest rooms and plant to exceptional standards once operational.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will support the safe, reliable operation of the hotel’s building services, plant and equipment. You will work across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces, assisting with electrical, plumbing, HVAC and general maintenance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Complete planned and reactive maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities
- Assist with pre-opening inspections, commissioning and defect rectification
- Identify faults and carry out repairs within your competency and licence limitations
- Support licensed trades and specialist contractors where required
- Maintain accurate work orders,



maintenance records and rectification actions
- Respond to plant, equipment and building-system faults in a timely manner
- Maintain tools, equipment and plant rooms to a high standard
- Help ensure a safe, comfortable and seamless environment for guests and colleagues

About You

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a large hotel
- Practical understanding of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and building plant
- Confident using maintenance systems, work orders and technical documentation
- Strong fault-finding skills and a practical, solutions-focused approach
- Reliable, safety-focused and well organised
- Available to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required
