MEAT LABOURERS & KNIFE HANDS WANTED – YAMANTO Immediate Starts | Monday–Friday | Temp to Perm | Full time Hours We’re looking for reliable, hard-working people to join a busy meat processing operation in Yamanto.
You don’t necessarily need years of experience. We’re open to candidates from a mixed range of backgrounds - meat processing, production, manufacturing, food processing, warehousing or similar.

The Role You’ll be working in a cold room environment, processing and handling pork products while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and quality.
Duties can include
- Processing, preparing, sorting and packing pork products
- Knife-hand duties for candidates with the right experience
- Picking and packing products to customer specifications
- Manual handling of meat products, cartons and trays
- Moving and stacking product throughout the facility
- Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic work area
- Following food safety procedures and workplace instructions
- Working as part of a team to hit daily production targets
What We’re Looking For Experience is great - attitude is more important. We’d ideally like candidates who have experience in:
- Meat processing or food production
- Production,
manufacturing or processing environments
- Food handling or food hygiene
- Knife-hand work
But don’t rule yourself out if your background is different. We’re happy to consider people from a range of industries who have the right work ethic and are willing to learn.
You’ll need to
- Be reliable and punctual
- Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Be comfortable working in a cold room
- Be physically fit and capable of regular manual handling
- Be comfortable lifting reasonable weights and moving meat products
- Be able to follow instructions and work safely
- Be committed to Monday–Friday full time hours
Hours Monday–Friday | Full-time hours | $34.96 Start times will be either 3:00am or 5:00am , and you must be available for both start times. The start time will be flexible depending on operational requirements. Expect 8–10 hour shifts.
