Integrated Disability Support Services is seeking a passionate and capable Participant Liaison Officer (PLO) to join our team at our Bundaberg Hub.

This is a full-time role for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people, building strong relationships and helping ensure participants receive high-quality, individualised support.

As a PLO, you’ll play a key role in connecting participants, families, support teams and IDSS management. You’ll help make sure supports are working well, participant goals remain front and centre, and our Lifestyle Mentors have the guidance and support they need to deliver great outcomes.

The role is designed to help the people we support live their best lives by encouraging independence, community participation and meaningful progress toward their individual goals.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work closely with participants, families, guardians, advocates and our internal teams, with responsibilities including:

- Building positive relationships with participants, families and team members
- Monitoring participant outcomes and ensuring supports align with individual goals
- Completing participant documentation, reporting, administration and data entry
- Coordinating communication between participants, families, support workers and other stakeholders




- Supporting roster changes and helping ensure effective use of available resources
- Coaching and mentoring Lifestyle Mentors to help deliver high-quality supports
- Working collaboratively with HR to ensure support teams have the right skills, qualifications and behaviours
- Supporting the planning and delivery of innovative, individualised services
- Maintaining compliance with NDIS requirements and the IDSS Code of Conduct
- Ensuring participant files and documentation are accurate and current
- Participating in an on-call roster on a rotational basis

About you

We’re looking for someone who can combine strong people skills with organisation, initiative and sound judgement.

You’ll ideally bring:

- Experience working within disability, community services or a similar environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Confidence communicating with participants, families, stakeholders and support teams
- The ability to build rapport and positive working relationships
- Knowledge of the NDIS, relevant legislation and the Quality and Safeguards Framework
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- A practical, solutions-focused approach and willingness to jump in where needed





A Certificate III in Disability or Individual Support is preferred but not essential.
