Spanline Home Additions Mackay is looking for an experienced, driven Design Advisor to join our growing local team.
n
Working with a strong pipeline of incoming customer enquiries, you'll help homeowners turn their ideas into patios, carports and outdoor living projects — from initial consultation and design through to signed contract and project completion.
n
This is not a cold-calling role.
n
The role
n
You'll manage your own customers and sales opportunities while being supported by our administration, approvals and construction team.
n
Your responsibilities will include:
n
Meeting customers at their homes to understand their needs, budget and vision.
n
Measuring and assessing sites and developing suitable design solutions.
n
Preparing designs, quotations and proposals using Spanline systems and software.
n
Presenting options and guiding customers towards the right solution.
n
Following up enquiries and quotations and converting opportunities into projects.
n
Managing customer communication from initial enquiry through to completion.
n
Coordinating with our administration and construction teams to ensure an accurate project handover.
n
Developing a robust understanding of Spanline products, pricing and relevant building requirements.
n
Who we're looking for
n
Previous patio or home-improvement experience would be advantageous, but it isn't essential.
n
More important is the right combination of sales ability, practical aptitude, professionalism and drive.
n
You'll ideally be:
n
An accomplished salesperson or experienced customer-facing professional.
n
Confident, personable and able to build genuine rapport with customers.
n
Practical and technically minded, with good spatial awareness.
n
Comfortable measuring sites,
working with dimensions and learning design software.
n
Commercially minded and motivated by achieving results.
n
Organised and capable of managing multiple customers and projects.
n
Comfortable working independently while contributing to a broader team.
n
Accountable, professional and trustworthy when representing our business.
n
Experience in construction, building products, sheds, kitchens, pools, automotive, real estate, home improvement or other consultative sales environments would transfer well.
n
A current driver's licence is required. Vehicle arrangements are negotiable depending on the successful applicant's experience and circumstances.
