About the Role
n
As Lead Veterinarian, you will play a key role in both the clinical and leadership direction of the hospital. You will:
n
n
- Provide high-quality clinical care across medical and surgical cases
n
- Lead, mentor and support the GP veterinary team
n
- Act as the line manager for GP veterinarians,
providing guidance and support
n
- Support performance development and appraisals for GP veterinarians
n
- Contribute to the training and development of our nursing and animal attendant teams
n
- Help drive clinical standards and continuous improvement across the hospital
n
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the hospital's marketing plan
n
- Work closely with the wider leadership team to support the ongoing growth and success of the hospital
n
- Continue to enjoy a hands-on clinical role alongside your leadership responsibilities
n

About You
n
We're looking for an experienced veterinarian who is ready to take the next step in their career. You will have:
n
n
- 5+ years' experience in small animal general practice
n
- A Bachelor or Doctor of Veterinary Science (or equivalent)
n
- Current veterinary registration in Australia
n
- Strong clinical skills across both medicine and surgery
n
- A genuine interest in mentoring, developing and supporting other veterinarians
n
- Strong communication and leadership skills
n
- A collaborative approach and a passion for delivering exceptional patient and client care
n
- Previous leadership experience is highly regarded, but we're also open to experienced veterinarians who are ready to step into their first formal leadership position.
