A real estate investment platform is looking for an experienced Asset Manager to join the team on a 12-month contract.

This is a broad, hands-on role with responsibility for a portfolio of commercial assets. You'll work closely with the wider investment team to manage day-to-day asset performance, progress key initiatives and identify opportunities to improve income and long-term value.

The role would suit an experienced property professional who is comfortable taking ownership, working across multiple assets and managing a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Take responsibility for the ongoing performance and strategic direction of a portfolio of commercial assets
n
- Manage leasing activity and work with external agents to drive occupancy, tenant retention and income outcomes
n
- Assess and progress opportunities to improve asset value, including capex, refurbishment and repositioning initiatives
n
- Manage annual budgets, forecasts, cash flows and asset-level financial performance
n
- Review asset and market performance to identify emerging opportunities and areas of risk
n
- Manage relationships with property managers, leasing agents, consultants and other service providers
n
- Provide regular reporting and commercial recommendations to the broader investment team
n
- Assist with acquisition and disposal activity where required, including financial analysis and due diligence
n
- Coordinate multiple asset initiatives and ensure agreed strategies are progressed through to delivery

About You
n We're looking for an experienced commercial property Asset Manager who can come into an established portfolio and quickly get across the assets, priorities and key relationships.
n You will ideally bring:

n

n
- Experience managing commercial property assets within an institutional, investment management, REIT or private property environment
n
- A robust track record across leasing, asset strategy and value-add initiatives
n
- Good financial capability, including budgets, forecasts, cash flows and performance analysis
n
- Experience managing external property and leasing partners
n
- Strong commercial judgement and the confidence to make recommendations and drive outcomes
n
- Exposure to property transactions would be beneficial, but is not essential
n
- The ability to work autonomously and balance competing priorities across a portfolio
n
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in property, finance, commerce or a related discipline
n
