Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule Shifts include:

Two 8-hour shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM

Two 12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:30 PM

40 hours per week with expected holidays and every other weekend

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our 25-bed acute inpatient psychiatry unit. You will be part of a team providing exceptional care to patients presenting with acute psychosis, including depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, suicidal and homicidal ideation, and dual diagnosis.

As a Registered Nurse, you will be trained to charge nurse responsibilities and may float to similar units within the hospital. The role requires active participation in treatments and patient care, with various responsibilities including medication administration, patient rounding, and conducting therapeutic groups.

Responsibilities

Oversee patient admissions and manage care for patients during your shift.

Administer medications and perform patient assessments.

Participate in patient rounding and take vital signs.

Facilitate therapeutic groups and assist in providing patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Valid State RN License.

BLS Certification required.

Previous experience in psychiatric nursing preferred.

Completion of COVID-19 vaccine and necessary immunizations.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
