About This Role

- Support sensitive legal claims and help keep important case work on track.
- You will support lawyers working on complex public law and litigation matters.
- You will help manage claims involving people who experienced harm in state care.
- Build valuable legal experience while working in a supportive government law team.
- 2 x part-time, fixed-term roles earning $81,496 - $98,955 per year, plus super.

What You Will Do As paralegal, public law and litigation, you will support the public law and litigation team. You will help manage state-care personal injury claims and other litigated matters.

You Will

- maintain accurate files and track claims, settlements, mediations and court events.
- help gather important documents and evidence for claims and legal matters.
- review court documents and filings for key legal claims.
- provide reliable support for meetings, reports and other team tasks.
- help maintain clear legal records and contribute to a respectful workplace.

About You No qualification is mandatory for this role. Formal legal or justice studies, or part-completed studies, will be highly regarded. You can work with sensitive information and support legal staff in a complex setting.

You Should Also Have

- strong time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- careful attention to detail and a consistently high standard of work.
- clear communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- sound judgement, discretion and initiative when handling sensitive information.
