Title: Payroll Analyst
Type: Temp 2-3 months (likely through to the end of November)
Rate: $65 - $70 per hour, including superannuation.
Location: Melbourne | Hybrid or Remote available

Following a major payroll transformation, they're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer / Payroll Analyst to join the team during a critical period of change.
?Who are you?
You're a payroll professional who enjoys getting to the bottom of a problem.
Rather than simply processing payroll, you like investigating anomalies, validating data, and making sure everything adds up. You're analytical, detail-oriented, and confident working with large payroll systems in a fast-paced environment.
You'll likely bring
- Payroll experience within a medium or large organisation
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience with enterprise payroll or HRIS platforms such as SuccessFactors, SAP ECP, Workday, Oracle, Dayforce, or similar
- A proactive mindset and confidence investigating payroll issues
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
?Day to day This role sits at the intersection of payroll, systems, and data quality.
You'll
- Review payroll variance reports and investigate anomalies
- Validate payroll outputs before processing
- Maintain payroll master data integrity
- Investigate system integration and data issues
- Review payroll tax, WorkCover, journals, and reconciliations
- Support audit activities and annual remuneration reviews
- Work closely with EY and the internal payroll team
- Recommend process improvements to strengthen payroll accuracy and efficiency

- Payroll experience within a complex workplace
- Strong payroll systems knowledge
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Confidence working with large data sets
- Ability to work independently and ask the right questions
- Experience with SuccessFactors or Humanforce is a bonus
