As the Pedagogical Coach you will provide strategic support and coaching to the three year old & four-year-old Kindergarten teaching teams to ensure high quality teaching and learning for children in our Kindergarten programs, characterised by regular, ongoing, individualised support, where identified, which assists effective pedagogical change.

Working closely with the Team Leader - Quality Assurance and Educational Leaders at every Service, you will build supportive relationships with each Educational Leader; to work with their educators as they strive to improve their practices., * Provide Educational Leadership through mentoring, coaching and support to educators and teachers in collaboration with the Team Leader - Quality Assurance.

- Support staff to build and establish a working knowledge of the all relevant policies, strategies, plans and frameworks that guide or influence practice within programs.
- Provide targeted support and mentoring to teachers and educators, as directed by the School Readiness Funding goals established, and in consultation with Centre Managers and Educational Leaders.
- Undertake regular reviews and evaluations of programs and professional practices of teachers and educators to plan for continuous improvement.
- Strengthening teachers and educator's knowledge and understanding of the principles of reflective practice to ensure cutting-edge and responsive programs are delivered.

About The Candidate The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly experienced Early Childhood practitioner, who is process focused,



enjoys working in a fast paced environment, providing quality support and guidance to staff, with the aim on provide the best possible service to the children and families in our community., * Tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education (Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent).

- Proven relevant experience in providing and delivering high quality children's programs using a strength-based, inclusive, family-centered approach.
- Thorough working understanding of the guiding documents used in Early Childhood. The whole suite that sits under the National Quality Framework, and an understanding of the Child Safe Standards.
- Solid communication skills for building relationships, active listening, holding confidential information, sharing different perspectives, establishing professional boundaries and linking this back to shared philosophy of best practice.
- Proven relevant experience in leading and participating in reflective discussions and considerations on practice and the implementation of the VEYLDF with a focus upon relationships, interactions, routines, intentional teaching, effective communication with all stakeholders to explore practice change.
- Strong mentoring skills including ability to observe and feedback constructively, lead reflective discussion, support adult learning and change, and develop plans for professional development.
- Current Working with Children's Check

Preferred candidates will be required to undergo a National Police Check as part of the recruitment process (funded by the City). Work Environment Work type: Fixed Term (12 months) - Part Time (2 days per week)

Classification: Band 6 $98,633 pa plus super (pro rata)
