Following the success of our flagship development, No.21 Broadbeach, QNY is preparing to commence Camilla, our $125M luxury residential development.

n

We're looking for an ambitious Senior Project Engineer or Project Engineer who wants more than a traditional contractor role and is ready for greater ownership, broader exposure and a genuine pathway toward Project Management.

You won't be one of twenty people managing a small piece of a project. You'll have visibility across the whole development, direct access to the people making the decisions and the opportunity to influence the outcome.

The Opportunity

n

Working closely with the Project Manager and senior leadership, you'll join Camilla from its early stages and play an integral role in taking the development from pre-construction through to completion.

n

This is a hands-on project delivery role with genuine responsibility across technical, commercial and construction functions.

n

You'll be involved across:

- Design management and consultant coordination
n
- Procurement strategy and subcontractor engagement
n
- Trade package scoping, tendering, negotiation and letting
n
- Construction methodology and sequencing
n
- Structure, façade, services and finishes coordination
n
- Programming and short-term construction planning
n
- Contract administration and subcontractor management
n
- Commercial management, forecasting and cost control
n
- RFIs, variations, progress claims and contractual correspondence
n
- Coordination between design, commercial and site teamsQuality assurance and construction delivery
n
- Stakeholder and consultant management
n
- Defects management and project close-out
n
- Value engineering and buildability reviews
n
- Supporting the Project Manager across overall project delivery
n

Because QNY is both developer and builder, you'll also gain exposure to the broader development process—including feasibility, product and design strategy, procurement, sales considerations and the commercial decisions that shape a project.

We want someone who wants to understand the entire development, not simply their individual package or discipline.

Who We're Looking For

n

We're looking for someone who has learned their craft in a hands-on construction environment and is now ready for greater ownership.

n





Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor experience is particularly valued, where you've been accustomed to taking broader responsibility across commercial, technical and delivery functions rather than being confined to one package.

n

You may currently be:

n

n
- Senior Project Engineer looking for greater project ownership and direct exposure to the developer;
n
- Project Engineer ready to accelerate your career on a major luxury residential development; or
n
- A high-performing Contract Administrator with solid commercial and technical capability who wants to transition into broader project delivery.
n

n

Your current title is less important to us than your capability, attitude and ambition.

n

You understand how buildings actually go together.

n

You're equally comfortable working through a technical issue on site, coordinating consultants around a table, negotiating with subcontractors and understanding the commercial implications of a decision.

n

You solve problems rather than simply identifying them, and you're prepared to take ownership of an issue through to resolution.

n

You don't need a large corporate structure around you to get things done.

Your Experience

n

Ideally, you'll bring:

n

n
- Approximately 4–8 years' experience within the Australian construction industry
n
- Experience working on major or complex construction projects, preferably $40M+
n
- Tier 2 or Tier 3 contractor experience preferred
n
- High-rise residential, luxury residential, mixed-use or major commercial experience
n
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or similar
n
- Strong understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
n
- Experience coordinating structure, façade, services and high-quality finishes
n
- Experience scoping, tendering, negotiating and letting subcontract packages
n
- Strong commercial and contract administration capability
n
- Experience coordinating consultants, subcontractors and trade packages
n
- Strong programming, planning and organisational skills
n
- Sound understanding of Australian construction contracts
n
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
n
- Strong attention to detail
n
- An appreciation for detailing, finishes and the quality expected in premium residential construction
n
- A proactive, accountable and solutions-focused approach
n
- Full Australian working rights
