Seeking an experienced and inspiring Mathematics leader to join a leading independent boys' college in Brisbane.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Mathematics to join a leading independent boys' college in Brisbane in a permanent leadership position commencing 2027.

You will:

- Provide strategic and instructional leadership across the Mathematics department.
n
- Lead the development, implementation and review of Mathematics curriculum and teaching programs.
n




- Support and mentor Mathematics staff to promote high-quality teaching and learning.
n
- Use data and evidence to monitor student achievement and identify opportunities for improvement.
n
- Foster a culture of high expectations, collaboration and continuous professional growth.
n
- Oversee assessment, curriculum planning and moderation across the department.
n
- Teach Mathematics as required, modelling high-quality classroom practice.
n
- Contribute to the wider academic and co-curricular life of the College.

You will bring:

n

- Appropriate qualifications and significant teaching experience in Mathematics.
n
- Proven leadership experience within a secondary Mathematics department or similar educational setting.
n
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum and senior secondary Mathematics pathways.
n
- A genuine commitment to academic excellence and student outcomes.
n
- Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
n
- The ability to inspire, develop and lead a team of educators.
n
- A collaborative and contemporary approach to teaching and educational leadership.

Requirements

- Relevant teaching qualification.
n
- Current, or ability to obtain, QCT registration.
n
- Full working rights in Australia.
n
- Demonstrated experience in Mathematics teaching and educational leadership.
