Salary Range and Features of the Position
$130,000 – $180,000 + super, depending on experience

- Full time, Sydney-based role within a 90-person national team (Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Brisbane, with matters reaching into the ACT and NT)
- Broad file mix beyond strata — building & construction, equity, insolvency, insurance and defamation work
- Early courtroom and tribunal exposure, including substantive NCAT hearings and Supreme Court applications
- Secure, growing pipeline — every new building client becomes an ongoing file, often valued $50,000–$100,000
- Genuine file ownership and fast-tracked responsibility, backed by senior leadership support
- Strong track record of alumni moving on to top-tier firms

The Role

This national litigation team is looking for a talented Associate or Senior Associate (3+ years PAE) to join their NSW team, working on some of the most complex, highest-value strata and building disputes in the market — plus exposure to equity, insolvency and insurance-based work well beyond the usual strata brief.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will scale as rapid as your capability allows, including:

- Running commercial litigation matters through the Federal Court, state courts and tribunals, including substantive NCAT hearings
- Advising on and running disputes involving remedial works, service providers, management rights and inter-building matters
- Handling Supreme Court applications for injunctive relief, and defamation matters against lot owners
- Acting on building and construction disputes against developers, and insolvency matters for trustees, liquidators and receivers

About You

We're looking for a litigator who wants genuine ownership of their files, not a career spent in the review room. To be successful, you'll bring:

- 3+ years PAE in commercial litigation, ideally with some exposure to strata, building/construction or insurance-related disputes
- Admission to practise in Australia, at Associate to Senior Associate level
- The confidence to run your own files with the support of senior leadership
- A good attitude and positive energy — you'll add to this team, not drain it
