The Role As an Intermediate Accountant, you will gain exposure across a broad range of business services and taxation matters while continuing to develop your technical and client management skills.
Your responsibilities will include:

- Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Preparation of BAS, IAS and other compliance requirements
- Managing a portfolio of SME clients across a range of industries
- Regular day-to-day client communication and relationship management
- Assisting with tax planning and business advisory matters
- Working with complex multi-entity structures
- Exposure to SMSF work
- Liaising with senior staff on complex taxation and advisory matters
- Building your technical knowledge and progressing towards greater client responsibility

About the Clients The firm works with a diverse portfolio of predominantly SME clients, with a strong presence in the healthcare sector, including doctors, medical practices and pharmacies.
You will gain exposure to:

- Companies, trusts and partnerships
- Complex multi-entity groups
- High-value SME businesses
- Healthcare professionals and medical practices
- Approximately 70 SMSFs
- Clients with significant and complex entity structures

About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- 2–4 years' experience within Australian public practice
- Experience preparing financial statements and income tax returns
- Exposure to companies, trusts, partnerships and SME clients
- Strong communication and client relationship skills
- Experience using Xero
- A genuine interest in developing your career within Business Services and Tax
- CPA or CA studies completed or currently underway will be highly regarded
