About the role

Zambrero Darwin CBD is seeking an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and lead a high-performing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and achieving financial and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

- Manage the daily operations of the restaurant in accordance with Zambrero policies, procedures and standards.

- Lead, motivate, train and develop team members to achieve high standards of performance and customer service.

- Recruit, onboard and retain team members as required.

- Prepare and manage staff rosters to ensure appropriate staffing levels and effective labour control.

- Monitor sales, labour costs, food costs, wastage and other key performance indicators.

- Manage stock ordering, receiving, storage, rotation and stocktake procedures.

- Maintain accurate cash handling, banking, payroll and administrative records.

- Ensure all food is prepared, stored and served in accordance with food safety and quality requirements.

- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and workplace safety.





- Monitor food quality, portion control and product consistency.

About you

- Previous experience in restaurant, hospitality, retail or quick-service management.

- Proven leadership and people-management skills.

- Strong communication and organisational abilities.

- Experience with rostering, stock control and cost management.

- A solid understanding of food safety and workplace health and safety.

- A customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

- The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

- A hands-on approach and the ability to lead by example.

- Strong commercial awareness and a focus on achieving business results.

- A genuine commitment to developing people and maintaining high operational standards.
