About the business/role/team
Reporting to the Manager, Payroll, Data & Information, you will join an open, dynamic and high-performing team responsible for delivering trusted payroll services that support the Bank's people. Working at an iconic Australian institution, you will collaborate with colleagues across Finance, HR and the broader Bank to ensure payroll outcomes are accurate, compliant and employee focused. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while contributing to innovation, continuous improvement and the future of payroll services through technology, data and AI-enabled solutions. About the role
- Deliver accurate, timely and compliant payroll services that support our people and the Bank.
- Investigate and resolve payroll enquiries, providing trusted advice and exceptional customer service.
- Prepare payroll reporting, reconciliations and statutory obligations, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements.
- Build your expertise across payroll legislation, taxation, superannuation, long service leave and employee benefits.
- Develop trusted relationships with stakeholders across Finance, HR and the broader Bank.
- Contribute to process improvements,
automation initiatives and innovative ways of working.
- Play an active role in a collaborative, high-performing team that values accountability, respect and excellence.
About you
- Experience in payroll operations, payroll compliance or employee payments.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders.
- Robust analytical, problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset.
- Comfort working with payroll systems, data and technology.
- An eagerness to learn, embrace innovation and contribute to AI and automation opportunities.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first approach
- High levels of integrity and professionalism when handling confidential information
