Fixed full time or part time vacancy is available for 12 months
Join our team as a Cardiac Sonographer on a flexible full time or part-time basis, here in the heart of Australia!
This 12-month temporary role offers a unique opportunity to explore Central Australia while being supported by a highly experienced and close-knit team. You’ll immerse yourself in diverse and complex cardiac pathology rarely encountered in metropolitan settings, delivering meaningful care and contributing to improved health outcomes for remote and First Nations communities. Working alongside renowned Cardiologists, both locally based and visiting from tertiary centres across Australia, you’ll further develop your clinical expertise in a truly distinctive setting.
You’ll also have the opportunity to travel to remote communities, providing outreach services in some of Australia’s most isolated health clinics—offering a strong sense of purpose and professional fulfilment.

Alice Springs Hospital is a 183 bed teaching hospital affiliated with the Flinders University South Australia and Charles Darwin University. The catchment area is over a million square kilometres with a robust focus on Indigenous and remote health. Over two thirds of admissions are First Nations people both from town and remote communities. Cultural, language and communication skills are an important component of service delivery.
Alice Springs is the regional hub of Central Australia with an urban population of approximately 30,000 people. It is multicultural with well-established schools and amenities. The surrounding area is of great natural beauty, with our famous. MacDonnell ranges run east and west of the town and contain gorges, swimming holes and hiking and mountain biking trails. There is a club for everything you are interested in, including swimming, trail running and gliding. Camping is a popular pastime in the cooler months, while in the summer swimming in local gorges are a refreshing oasis to relax.
