About the Role As an Aged Care Cook, you will be responsible for preparing nutritious, high-quality meals while ensuring the dietary, nutritional and individual needs of residents are met.
You will work as part of a supportive kitchen team and be expected to maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation.
To Be Successful, You Must Have:

- Previous experience working as a Cook in an aged care setting – essential
- Relevant cooking qualifications/certificates
- Current Food Safety / Food Handling certification
- Current First Aid certificate
- Understanding of texture-modified diets and special dietary requirements
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and infection-control procedures
- Ability to follow menus, recipes and dietary requirements




- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A caring and respectful approach when working around elderly residents
- Strong reliability and the ability to work independently
- Current police check and other relevant compliance documents as required
