Moriah College is a vibrant co-educational Early Learning – Year 12 Jewish Day School located in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. Commencing in Term 4, November 2026, this six-month maternity leave contract is an exciting chance for an engaging and experienced educator to join our English Faculty. You’ll become part of a supportive team that values collaboration, connection and creativity, while playing an important role in the wider life of the Moriah community.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

- Ability to inspire students to strive for personal excellence while contributing to Moriah College’s vibrant culture of academic achievement, curiosity and values.
- Provide high-quality, differentiated teaching and learning programs and activities that are contextually relevant and promote independent learning.
- Integrate ICT and digital learning tools.
- Work as a team-oriented and reflective member of the Faculty.
- Participate in the co-curricular life of the College.




- Be committed to ongoing professional learning.

Experience Required:

- Experience and a proven track record in teaching senior English.
- NESA accreditation to teach in your relevant field.
- Valid Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Relevant teaching experience in a high school setting, with a passion for learning and teaching.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing educational best practice within your subject area.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- A strong work ethic, displaying determination, self-motivation and curiosity.
