Full-Time Retail & Stock Operations Team Member

Victoria’s Basement is looking for a reliable, hardworking and organised team member to join our Alexandria store on a full-time basis.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys staying active and working in a busy retail environment. The main focus of the position will be receiving and unpacking stock, checking and organising deliveries, pricing products and ensuring stock is correctly displayed and merchandised in the store.

The role will also involve customer service and general retail duties, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable communicating with customers and working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive and unload incoming stock deliveries

- Unpack, sort and separate stock accurately

- Check deliveries against invoices and delivery dockets

- Organise stock and prepare it for the retail floor

- Price, label and ticket products accurately

- Merchandise and display stock throughout the store

- Ensure shelves and displays are well presented, organised and fully stocked

- Assist customers and provide a high level of customer service

- Handle counter sales and customer enquiries

- Answer phone enquiries and assist with customer requests

- Maintain a clean, tidy and organised stockroom and retail environment

- Ensure stock is stored correctly and safely

- Assist with general store operations and other duties as required





About You

We are looking for someone who is:

- Reliable, punctual and responsible

- Physically capable of handling and unpacking stock deliveries

- Organised and able to work efficiently in a busy environment

- Comfortable working with stock, boxes and pallets

- Accurate and attentive to detail when checking, pricing and organising stock

- Well presented and confident when dealing with customers

- Friendly with excellent communication skills

- Able to work independently as well as part of a team

- Adaptable and willing to assist with different tasks as required

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and ever-changing retail environment

Previous retail, warehouse, stock handling or merchandising experience will be highly regarded, but we are also happy to consider applicants who demonstrate the right attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.
