The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team on either a full-time or part-time basis.

Working closely with your Team Manager and Directors, you’ll take an active role in managing a varied portfolio of clients, building strong client relationships and delivering high-quality accounting, taxation and business advisory outcomes.

We’re looking for someone who is proactive, commercially minded and takes pride in their work. You’ll be encouraged to contribute ideas, collaborate with the wider team and take ownership of your portfolio rather than simply process the work in front of you.

Main Responsibilities

- Preparation and/or Review of Financial Reports for all entity types

- Preparation and/or Review of Income Tax Returns for all entity types

- Preparation of other statutory compliance-related documents for clients as required

- Liaising with the statutory bodies on behalf of clients

- Provide client accounting software assistance and advice

- Preparation of ad-hoc reports and advice for clients

- Attend to tax and accounting planning and forecasting for clients

- Assisting junior staff when required





- Other duties as assigned and required

Candidate

The candidate must have strong business development and technical skills with demonstrable knowledge in providing general and specific accounting, taxation, and business advice.

You will possess great time management skills, strong attention to detail, and will be able to monitor and meet your own client-imposed deadlines.

We are looking for someone that will be progressive with us as technology evolves, with strong Xero experience.

Qualifications, Experience & Attributes

- Minimum 5 years of Australian Business Services experience within a practice environment

- CA Qualified or Currently studying towards is preferred but not essential

- Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles, Australian Income Tax legislation

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Superior attention to detail
