Payroll Officer in Sydney Olympic Park | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract

Your current role

Reporting to the Payroll Supervisor, you will be responsible for processing end-to-end payroll across Australia and New Zealand within a large-volume payroll environment. Working closely with internal stakeholders, you will ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time while maintaining compliance with relevant legislation, awards and internal policies.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Processing fortnightly end-to-end payroll for a high-volume workforce across Australia and New Zealand.
- Maintaining employee records, including new starters, terminations, pay increases and back pays.
- Processing superannuation, payroll tax and payroll-related reconciliations.
- Preparing payroll journals and balancing payroll ledger accounts.
- Responding to payroll enquiries from employees and internal stakeholders.
- Supporting statutory reporting, STP year-end activities and compliance requirements.
- Assisting with payroll administration,



testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need to succeed

- Previous end-to-end payroll experience within a medium to large organisation.
- Experience working in a high-volume payroll environment.
- Exposure to major payroll software will be highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation, compliance and reporting requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
