At Alpine Nurseries, we are looking for an energetic, motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice to join our Production Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn a trade, gain a nationally recognised qualification and build a long-term career in the horticulture industry.

What you'll be doing

As a Production Nursery Apprentice, you will learn all aspects of growing and caring for plants while working alongside experienced horticulturists. You will complete a Certificate III in Production Nursery, combining TAFE study with practical, hands-on learning in the workplace.

You will gain experience in areas including:

- Plant care and maintenance

- Potting and production

- Pruning and plant training

- Pest and disease monitoring

- Irrigation and watering

- Weed control and plant presentation

- Nursery machinery and equipment





- Workplace health and safety

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone who:

- Enjoys being outdoors and working in an active environment

- Has an interest in plants, green life, agriculture or the environment

- Is energetic and enjoys physical, hands-on work

- Is smart, curious and enjoys learning how things work

- Prefers learning by doing rather than sitting behind a desk all day

- Has a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn

- Takes pride in their work and gives their best effort

- Can work well as part of a team

- Is reliable, motivated and keen to build a career

- Is willing and able to attend TAFE as part of their apprenticeship

- Can safely undertake the physical requirements of the role, including regular lifting, pushing and pulling

- Holds a current driver's licence, or is working towards obtaining one
