About the role

Magnetite Perth is seeking a Trade Assistant/Installer to join our dynamic team in Malaga, WA. This is a full-time position offering an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in the trades whilst working alongside experienced professionals. You will play a vital role in supporting our installation and trades operations, contributing directly to the successful delivery of our projects and services. This hands-on role will see you developing practical expertise whilst helping to maintain the high standards Magnetite Perth is known for.

Key responsibilities

- Assist experienced tradespeople with installation, maintenance and repair works on various projects

- Prepare work areas, gather tools and materials required for daily tasks

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised work environment

- Carry out general labouring duties including material handling and site preparation

- Learn and apply proper installation techniques and best practices under supervision

- Support the team in meeting project deadlines and quality standards

- Assist with equipment maintenance and ensure tools are kept in good working order

- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding project progress and any issues

What we're looking for

- Physical fitness and capability to perform manual labour and lifting tasks regularly

- Willingness to learn and develop recent trade skills with enthusiasm and dedication

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards

- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team

- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work

- Basic problem-solving skills and practical aptitude

- A valid Manual Drivers Licence is essential





- Previous experience using power tools, in a construction or labouring role is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate
