Caloundra RSL is seeking a reliable, hands-on and motivated Maintenance Assistant to join our team.

Working alongside the Maintenance Manager, you will assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the Club’s buildings, facilities, equipment and general areas. This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys practical work and takes pride in maintaining a safe, clean and well-presented environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Carry out general maintenance, repairs and preventative maintenance across the Club.

- Complete minor repairs including painting, basic carpentry, furniture, fixtures, fences and gates.

- Assist with plumbing, drainage and electrical maintenance as required and under direction.

- Conduct regular Club inspections and respond to maintenance requests.

- Assist tradespeople, contractors and the Maintenance Manager when required.

- Maintain and repair Club equipment, furniture and building fixtures.

- Assist with moving furniture, equipment and general Club set-ups.

- Assist with grounds, cleaning, waste and general upkeep as required.

- Maintain accurate maintenance records and report issues to the Maintenance Manager.

- Keep maintenance equipment, storage and work areas clean, secure and organised.





- Follow all Workplace Health & Safety procedures and respond appropriately to hazards and emergencies.

About You

The successful applicant will be reliable, punctual, self-motivated and positive, with a strong work ethic and practical approach to problem-solving.

You will have

- 1–2 years’ experience in facilities or general maintenance

- Maintenance and repair skills.

- Valuable communication and interpersonal skills.

- Basic Computer skills.

- Current Queensland Driver Licence.

Highly desirable

- Current First Aid Certificate (Electrical).

- Current Forklift Licence

- Training in the use of fire extinguishers

- White Card
