Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Demolition Project Manager to join our high-performing team based in Clayton.

About the Role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple demolition projects from tender handover through to completion. You will work closely with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

You will be managing live demolition environments — structural demolition, high-reach and mechanical demolition, induced collapse methodologies, hazardous materials removal and site remediation — on some of Victoria’s most challenging and high-profile demolition projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage demolition projects from commencement through to completion, including staged possessions, separations and structural demolition sequencing.

• Develop and review demolition work plans, work method statements and engineering methodologies in conjunction with our in-house engineers.

• Oversee hazardous materials (asbestos, SMF, lead) removal scopes and coordinate with licensed removalists and hygienists.

• Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets and forecasts.

• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel,



including plant operators and demolition crews.

• Manage procurement of labour, specialist demolition plant and attachments, equipment and materials.

• Ensure compliance with WorkSafe Victoria requirements, demolition notifications, and all contractual and legislative obligations.

• Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project reporting.

• Monitor project performance, including cost control, waste/recycling tracking and financial reporting.

• Conduct site inspections and work closely with Site Supervisors to ensure works are completed safely and efficiently.

• Identify demolition-specific project risks — structural stability, services isolation, adjoining structures, public protection — and implement effective mitigation strategies.

• Promote and maintain Mann Group’s commitment to safety, quality and environmental compliance.

About You — Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the demolition industry in a Project Management or senior site management role — this is non-negotiable.

• Demonstrated delivery of structural and/or industrial demolition projects, including mechanical demolition methodologies.

• Working knowledge of demolition work plans, engineering methodologies, exclusion zones and demolition sequencing.

• Sound understanding of hazardous materials management (asbestos Class A/B removal processes, clearance certificates, hygienist engagement).

• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation as it applies to demolition work,



including WorkSafe Victoria notification requirements and high-risk work licensing.

• Strong knowledge of project planning, contract administration and commercial management.

• Experience managing project budgets, procurement and reporting.

• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and project management software.

Highly Regarded

• Experience with high-reach demolition, induced collapse or explosive demolition methodologies.

• Experience on decommissioning, industrial or infrastructure demolition projects.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in construction management, engineering or a related discipline.

• Demolition licence knowledge or prior work with a licensed demolition contractor.
