About the role

Our School is seeking a full-time, fixed term replacement Sports Administrator, working 37.5 hours per week, commencing in January 2027. This position is responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day management of the School's Sports Program. The Sports Administrator also oversees the Junior School's Co-Curricular, House and Representative Sports Program. The Sport Administrator reports to the Director of Sport and line manages all Sports Coaches and Coordinators from Reception to Year 6. The Sports Administrator works closely with the Director of Sport to ensure that the delivery of every aspect of the School's Sports program is of exceptional quality.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee the day to day management of the School's Sport program as directed by the Director of Sport

- Manage and lead all teachers, coaches and student mentors involved in Junior School Sport (Reception - Year 6)

- Ensure coaching staff remain cognisant of current trends through participation in relevant professional organisations, including recognised Coaching Accreditation

- Mentor Junior School Sports Captains

- Assist the Director of Sport in delivering regular meetings with Student Sport Leaders, House Captains and other student representatives to gain their perspective on the program to ensure inclusivity and successful participation at Interhouse Sport competitions and carnivals

- Build student pride in representing St Peter's Girls in sport





- Promote sport as a healthy activity with positive wellbeing outcomes through the development and management of sporting activties/events that involve students, parents and the wider school community

- Maintain clear and consistent policies, processes and procedures

- Manage expected standards of coaching and officiating during school training sessions and School fixtures for Junior School Sport

- Co-ordinate complete administrative functions

About you

- Demonstrated commitment to the development of physical activity for all students, regardless of ability

- Experience managing multiple sports and participants of varying ages

- Experience and knowledge of sport in a school setting

- Demonstrated high level IT skills

- Demonstrated clear and confident communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse range of people

- Demonstrated high level organisational and planning skills

- Demonstration of an outstanding work ethic

- Ability to respond to all situations in a calm, flexible, sensitive and respectful manner

- Preparedness to work flexible hours
