Our diverse team includes clinical and registered psychologists with expertise across a wide range of presentations and age groups, as well as a child and adolescent psychiatrist for specialised youth care.
Job Description
We are seeking an organised and friendly Receptionist to join our team at Ramsay Psychology Services - Cairns. This is a permanent, part-time position.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for our organisation, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming and efficient experience for all visitors, clients, and callers. This position offers an excellent opportunity to showcase your outstanding interpersonal skills while supporting our team in delivering exceptional service every day.
- Greet visitors and clients with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive first impression
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming calls with excellent phone etiquette and efficiency
- Manage and maintain the reception area, keeping it organized, clean, and welcoming
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for team members with meticulous attention to detail
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records using company systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Provide administrative support to various departments, demonstrating flexibility and collaborative spirit
- Handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly,
showing empathy and problem-solving abilities
- Coordinate mail distribution, packages, and deliveries in an organized manner
- Assist with onboarding current employees and provide general orientation support
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Support special events and meetings as needed, demonstrating enthusiasm and organizational excellence
About You
- To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and enjoys being part of a busy environment.
- The ability to converse and be empathetic while managing a busy flow of appointment dairies, phone calls, emails etc.
- You will have strong communication, multi-tasking and interpersonal skills and should be comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, psychologist, administrators, clinical and non-clinical staffs.
- Computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite of Programs
- Strong attention to detail and understanding of a specialist practice setting, Medical Terminology are highly desired, though not essential.
- Coordinate with staff from other departments.
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry, billing, banking, and stationary order

Additional Information
