We're seeking a Security Detection & Response Analyst (SDR I) to join a high-performing cyber security function responsible for protecting critical enterprise systems and infrastructure.
This is an exciting opportunity for an analytically minded professional to gain hands-on experience across threat detection, investigation, incident response, automation, and security operations while working alongside experienced cyber security specialists in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
As a Security Detection & Response Analyst, you will:
- Monitor security alerts and events across multiple platforms including endpoint, network, identity, and cloud environments.
- Investigate potential threats and security incidents by analysing logs, telemetry, and threat intelligence data.
- Support cyber incident response activities including alert validation, triage, containment support, and documentation.
- Collaborate with senior analysts and engineers to identify suspicious activity and escalate complex investigations where required.
- Contribute to the enhancement of detection capabilities by identifying false positives and recommending improvements to monitoring rules.
- Assist in developing and maintaining security playbooks, runbooks,
and investigation procedures.
- Gain exposure to leading security technologies including SIEM, EDR/XDR, SOAR, automation, and AI-driven security solutions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at strengthening monitoring coverage, visibility, and operational effectiveness.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Experience within cyber security, IT support, infrastructure, service desk, networking, or a related technical field.
- A genuine passion for cyber security and a strong desire to build a long-term career within the industry.
- Foundational knowledge of security operations, incident response, threat detection, or cyber defence principles.
- Exposure to technologies such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Defender, QRadar, or similar security platforms will be highly regarded.
- An understanding of attacker tactics and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK.;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to communicate findings clearly and work effectively within a collaborative team setting.
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, SC-200, AZ-500, Microsoft Security certifications, or similar will be viewed favourably.
