About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Waste Facility Labourer / Operations Worker to join our team.

This is a hands-on and diverse role suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, operating equipment, working around heavy vehicles, and engaging in a range of practical tasks.

The successful applicant will work as part of a small team and be involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our facility, including the safe movement, loading and unloading of materials, containers and vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

- Manual handling and general labouring duties throughout the facility

- Operating forklifts to load, unload and move materials and equipment

- Loading and unloading ISO tank containers

- Loading and unloading tautliner trailers

- Loading and unloading tankers

- Assisting with the movement and positioning of stock and equipment

- General plant and equipment inspections

- Basic plant and facility maintenance and housekeeping

- Identifying and reporting equipment defects, hazards and maintenance requirements

- Assisting with site inspections and maintaining a clean, safe and organised work environment

- Completing and assisting with required site paperwork, checklists and records

- Following site procedures, environmental requirements and safety systems

- Assisting drivers, contractors and other site personnel as required

- Supporting the broader operations team with general duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who:





- Has a strong commitment to safety

- Is reliable, punctual and willing to get involved

- Is physically capable of undertaking manual handling and labouring duties

- Is comfortable working around heavy vehicles, industrial equipment and plant operations

- Has good attention to detail

- Can follow procedures and complete paperwork accurately

- Is able to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team

- Takes pride in keeping equipment and work areas clean and well maintained

- Has a practical, hands-on approach to problem solving

Skills & Experience

The following would be highly regarded:

- Previous experience in transport, logistics, manufacturing or a similar industrial environment

- Forklift experience and a current forklift licence

- Experience loading or unloading ISO containers

- Experience working around tautliners and tankers

- Basic mechanical or maintenance skills

- Experience completing inspections, checklists or operational paperwork

- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements
