As a Tug/Shunter Driver, you'll play a vital role in keeping our freight operations moving efficiently. You'll be responsible for the secure and timely movement of semi-trailers throughout the yard, ensuring loading schedules are met and operations run smoothly. Working closely with our operations, warehouse, and driver teams, you'll be an significant part of our daily success.
Key responsibilities
Safely and efficiently move semi-trailers between loading bays, staging areas, and designated yard locations
Support the smooth flow of freight movements across the site
Follow and promote all site safety procedures and traffic management requirements
Conduct pre-start equipment checks and report faults or safety concerns promptly
Work collaboratively with operations and yard teams to execute daily and weekly freight movement plans
Assist with loading and unloading activities when required
Take pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and well-presented yard
Contribute to continuous improvement of yard safety, efficiency, and performance
About you
Current HR or HC Licence
Current Forklift Licence (LF) - essential
Experience operating a Tug/Shunter vehicle - essential
Previous experience in transport, logistics, warehousing, or yard operations
Sound knowledge of load restraint and transport safety requirements
Strong commitment to workplace safety
Reliable, punctual, and physically fit
Positive attitude with a solid work ethic
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
