Casual Delivery Driver

Nursery Warehouse – Ourimbah, NSW
2 to 3 days per week | 6:30am start

Nursery Warehouse is an online nursery based in Ourimbah and is looking for a reliable, organised and hardworking Casual Delivery Driver to join our team.

The role will initially be Wednesday and Thursday, with the potential to increase to additional days as we head into our busy Spring period.

About the Role

This is a hands on role involving driving, loading and unloading plants and delivering customer orders throughout the Central Coast, Newcastle and Sydney.

Your day to day responsibilities will include:
Picking up plants and stock from our suppliers
Unloading stock at our Ourimbah site
Loading the delivery truck each morning
Checking each order against the delivery list to ensure all plants and items are accounted for before leaving
Following a delivery run provided through our delivery app
Delivering customer orders throughout the Central Coast, Newcastle and Sydney
Loading and unloading plants and nursery products
Some heavy lifting and physical work
Keeping the delivery vehicle organised and tidy

Some delivery runs, particularly Sydney deliveries, can involve long driving days, so you must be comfortable spending extended periods on the road.

About You





We are looking for someone who:
Holds a current Australian car licence
Can confidently drive a manual vehicle
Is reliable and punctual
Is organised and has solid attention to detail
Is thorough when loading the truck and checking orders
Takes responsibility for ensuring all items are accounted for and the correct orders are loaded
Is comfortable using a smartphone and app based delivery system
Can work independently throughout the day
Is physically capable of lifting and moving plants and other nursery products
Is comfortable with early starts and longer driving days
Has a friendly and qualified manner when dealing with customers

Previous delivery driving or nursery experience would be helpful, but is not essential.

Hours

Casual position
Wednesday and Thursday initially
6:30am start

The role is expected to be around 2 to 3 days per week, with the prospect for additional days during Spring and other busy periods.
