Cook – Waterline Boathouse

Join our busy waterfront kitchen!

Waterline Boathouse is looking for a reliable, hardworking Cook to join our established kitchen team in Forster.

We are not looking for a Head Chef or someone wanting to redesign our menu. We have a well-established menu and kitchen operation, and we're looking for someone who takes pride in consistently preparing quality meals, working efficiently, and being a dependable member of the team.

About the Role

As a Cook, you'll be responsible for:
Preparing and cooking meals to our established recipes and standards
Maintaining consistency and quality during busy service periods
Assisting with food preparation and stock rotation
Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and effective
Working closely with the kitchen team to deliver excellent service
Assisting with opening and closing kitchen duties

Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen

Organised and able to follow established systems




Proud of producing consistently high-quality food
Willing to learn and take direction
Available to work weekends, every day during school holidays, and most public holidays (excluding Christmas Day) – this is an essential requirement.

Experience

Previous experience as a cook in a café, restaurant or similar commercial kitchen is preferred.

A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate is an advantage but not essential.
