About the role

e Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced Portable Fire Technician to join our team. You will service and install portable fire equipment, apply relevant Australian Standards and independently manage your scheduled workload and customer sites.

Key responsibilities
Inspecting and servicing fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels and hydrants
Installing fire equipment and signage
Assessing the selection, location and installation requirements for fire equipment
Identifying defects, non-compliances and required repairs
Completing accurate service records and job documentation
Communicating with customers, including cold calling
Monitoring emails and keeping site inductions up to date
Managing your scheduled workload across customer sites
Broadening skills across evacuation diagrams, exit light testing, emergency eyewash servicing and other services within the department

About you
Previous experience as a Portable Fire Technician or similar
Sound knowledge of portable fire equipment servicing and installation




Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
Solid customer service and communication skills
The ability to work independently and manage your workload
A current Australian manual driver's licence
A current White Card
A current, or ability to obtain, National Police Clearance
Relevant fire protection qualifications and industry accreditations will be highly regarded
