The successful applicant will work 20 hours per week, spread across 5 hours per day, 4 days per week. Some flexibility is required, and the applicant must also be available for call-up shifts when needed to assist with service delivery, staff coverage or operational requirements. This role involves a mix of client support, social support activities and general administration duties.
Key responsibilities
Providing social support to older people in the community
Assisting clients to remain connected, engaged and independent
Supporting social activities, outings or group programmes
Communicating respectfully with clients, families, staff and volunteers
Answering phones and assisting with general enquiries
Data entry, filing and maintaining accurate client records
Assisting with rosters, bookings and service coordination
Supporting day-to-day office administration
Working closely with staff and volunteers to ensure services run smoothly
Helping ensure services are delivered in a caring,
respectful and reliable way
About you
Warm, patient and respectful when working with older people
Friendly, reliable and community-focused
Organised and confident with basic administration tasks
A positive communicator, both in person and over the phone
Able to work independently and as part of a small team
Versatile and available to work additional call-up shifts when required
Comfortable using computers and basic office systems
Passionate about supporting older people to stay connected and independent
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent qualification
Current driver licence
National Police Check
First Aid Certificate
