We are looking for a capable Boilermaker / Fabricator to join our workshop in the Toowoomba region.

The role involves wide-ranging heavy fabrication and repair work across drilling equipment, trucks, trailers, machinery, structural components and custom one-off builds.

This is not repetitive production welding. We need someone who can look at a job, understand what needs to be achieved, think through the best way to do it and produce a high standard of work.

You will work alongside an experienced boilermaker in a well-equipped workshop with a robust ongoing workload. The position will be predominantly workshop based, with occasional field work as required.

Typical work will include:
Heavy fabrication and welding
Drilling rig and machinery repairs and modifications
Truck and trailer fabrication
Custom brackets, frames, skids and equipment
Repair and reinforcement of heavy equipment
Working from drawings, measurements and practical concepts




Developing practical solutions for one-off fabrication jobs
MIG and stick welding
Cutting, grinding, drilling and general fabrication
Assisting with larger custom builds and equipment projects

We are looking for someone who is trade qualified, reliable, practical and able to work independently.

Experience with heavy equipment, agricultural machinery, mining equipment, drilling rigs, trucks or trailers would be highly regarded, but the most important things are your workmanship, attitude and ability to solve problems.

This is a full-time local position with good variety, stable work and the prospect to become part of a growing fabrication operation.

Pay: $45.00 – $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
