We are a family owned, long established funeral home, with a large fully equipped chapel, based in the beautiful West Gippsland town of Warragul (VIC).

This role involves providing skilled care and support to families through all aspects of funeral service, including but not limited to:
Arranging funeral and memorial services with grieving families in accordance with the family's wishes and requirements with excellent attention to detail
Conducting funeral services with the support of other staff members
Arranging pre-paid and pre-arranged funerals
Administrative duties including but not limited to answering telephones/reception enquiries
Meeting and exceeding client family expectations
Transfer of deceased persons from place of death

The role will require you to possess:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills (including handwriting)
High attention to detail




Excellent customer service skills
Excellent time management and organisation skills
Ability to show understanding, empathy and be sensitive to family's needs
Ability to build rapport with client families
Ability to work as part of our dedicated team and autonomously
Administration and computer skills (Microsoft Office and Email)
Current VIC driver's licence with a positive driving history
High level of physical fitness in order to perform manual handling tasks
Ability to work some overtime and participate in a shared on call roster

Previous funeral service experience would be highly valued and the successful applicant must be comfortable to undergo a police check.
