Bay Family Dental is looking for a friendly and reliable Dental Assistant/Dental Receptionist to join our supportive team on a casual basis.

This is a diverse role combining dental assisting with reception responsibilities. It would suit someone who enjoys working with patients, contributes positively to a team and is comfortable helping across different areas of the practice.

About you

We are looking for someone who:
Is warm, skilled and confident when communicating with patients
Is organised and able to manage competing priorities
Has excellent attention to detail
Is dependable and works well within a team
Takes pride in providing a high standard of patient care
Is comfortable working across both reception and dental assisting
Has valuable computer and administrative skills

Previous dental experience is preferred, and experience using Dental4Windows will be highly regarded.

The role

Your responsibilities will include:
Providing chairside assistance during a range of dental procedures
Preparing treatment rooms and maintaining appropriate stock levels
Cleaning,



sterilising and maintaining dental instruments
Following infection-control procedures and practice protocols
Welcoming patients and assisting with their enquiries
Answering telephone calls and managing emails
Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
Processing payments, accounts and health fund claims
Maintaining accurate patient records
Coordinating treatment appointments and following up patients
Completing general reception and administrative duties
Using Dental4Windows for daily practice-management tasks
Supporting the dentists and wider practice team as required
