About the role

Due to a very busy 2+ years ahead Modern Building Company is seeking highly skilled and experienced Carpenters or Sub contractors to join our team in Hobart, Tasmania. This full-time position is a fantastic chance for a dedicated skilled to contribute to the construction of high-quality residential and commercial projects.

What you'll be doing
Working on some exciting architectural projects
Read and interpret architectural plans and technical specifications to guide the building process
Be on top of all aspects of carpentry and some knowledge of sub trades also
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
Collaborate with other trades to coordinate the overall construction schedule

What we're looking for
Relevant trade qualification in carpentry
Certificate III in Carpentry is required
Experience as a Carpenter, ideally in the residential building industry
Minimum 4 years experience in carpentry required
Excellent at reading and interpreting plans and specifications




Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome complex construction challenges
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and lead by example
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
Australian work authorisation is required for this position
