They are seeking a motivated Draftsperson to join their Design Services team in Unanderra. This is an excellent chance for someone with a solid foundation in mechanical drafting who enjoys producing accurate, practical designs and collaborating with experienced engineers and designers.

The Role
n
Working closely with senior designers and engineers, you will contribute to the delivery of engineering designs from concept through to detailed documentation. Your responsibilities will include:

Developing 3D models and producing detailed 2D mechanical drawings
n
Preparing fabrication and construction drawings
n
Producing general arrangements and detailed drawings in line with engineering intent
n
Assisting with engineering calculations under the guidance of project engineers
n
Applying relevant industry standards and project specifications
n
Participating in design reviews and supporting project delivery
n
Working collaboratively with engineers and other design disciplines
n
Producing accurate, high-quality technical documentation and maintaining appropriate document control
n

About You:
n
n
A Diploma in Drafting
n
A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Draftsperson
n
Experience with both 2D and 3D modelling
n
Exposure to software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Inventor
n
The ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings
n
Familiarity with Australian design and drawing standards
n
Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills
n
Transparent communication and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
