Role Description The Venue Manager is a full time, in office role based at The Doss House in The Rocks, NSW. This role oversees daily bar operations, including opening and closing procedures, staff supervision, and ensuring smooth service throughout each shift.

The Venue

Manager is responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, managing bookings and events, and ensuring a safe, clean, and well-presented environment. Key tasks include scheduling and coaching team members, coordinating with suppliers, managing stock levels and budgets, and monitoring sales performance. The role also involves handling guest feedback,



ensuring compliance with licensing and safety regulations, and supporting marketing and promotional activities to grow the venue’s profile.

Qualifications
Strong Communication and Customer Service skills, with the ability to build rapport with guests and lead a diverse team.
Proven experience in Venue Management, including day-to-day operations and staff supervision.
Competence in Budgeting and basic financial management, such as cost control and sales reporting.
Experience in Event Management, including planning and executing in-venue functions and private bookings.
Previous hospitality or bar management experience, preferably in a premium or boutique venue.
Knowledge of local licensing, health, and safety regulations relevant to bar operations.
Ability to work versatile schedule, including evenings and weekends, as required by venue operations.
Relevant certifications (e.g., RSA or equivalent) and experience with POS systems and inventory management are beneficial.
