We're currently seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a project in regional Queensland.
This is an excellent chance to secure ongoing project work with a well-established industrial contractor, offering excellent hourly rates, overtime, and accommodation or a generous LAFHA.

About the role

As a Mechanical Fitter, you'll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, overhaul, and repair of mechanical equipment and fixed plant assets. You'll be working within a heavy industrial setting, carrying out planned maintenance, inspections, shutdown works, and breakdown repairs while ensuring all work is completed in accordance with site procedures and safety standards.




You'll be joining experienced shutdown and maintenance crews delivering critical works across industrial operations.

Requirements

To be considered, you will need:
Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter
Demonstrated experience within heavy industrial, power generation, mining, oil & gas, or resources environments
Experience maintaining and repairing rotating equipment, pumps, valves, conveyors, gearboxes, and other fixed plant equipment
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
Solid fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
Working at Heights (completed within the last 2 years)
Confined Space (completed within the last 2 years)
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
