Role: Sharepoint Developer

Role purpose

Lead the technical delivery of the upgrade from SharePoint Server 2016 to SharePoint

Server Subscription Edition in an Azure IaaS-hosted workplace. The role is accountable for establishing a repeatable farm-build validating and remediating custom SharePoint solutions, and supporting migration through testing, cutover, rollback and operational handover.

Key responsibilities
Build and configure recent SharePoint Subscription Edition farms on Azure IaaS.
Recreate farm topology, web applications, service applications, authentication, certificates, permissions and service accounts.
Perform database readiness checks and database-attach upgrades.
Configure and validate Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata and Secure Store.
Assess, deploy and remediate WSP and full-trust farm solutions.
Troubleshoot custom C# components, including Web Parts, event receivers and Feature receivers.
Validate workflows, Microsoft Graph, Entra ID, MSAL, REST and WCF integrations.
Support HA, load balancing, DNS,



networking and security configuration.
Support testing, Production cutover, rollback and hypercare.
Establish a reusable upgrade pattern across all environments.

Mandatory technical skills Must have:
SharePoint Server 2016 and Subscription Edition
Direct SharePoint 2016 to Subscription Edition upgrades
Database-attach upgrade experience
SharePoint farm administration and PowerShell
WSP/full-trust solutions and SharePoint Server Object Model
Knowledge of C# and .NET Framework 4.8
Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata and Secure Store
IIS, SQL connectivity, authentication and certificates
ULS, IIS and SharePoint upgrade-log troubleshooting
Azure IaaS-hosted, load-balanced SharePoint farms
